Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CapsuFlow handles personal information, technical information, and user content in connection with the current version of the app and website.

Effective date: April 11, 2026 Applies to: capsuflow.com, help.capsuflow.com, and the current CapsuFlow app

Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how CapsuFlow collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use capsuflow.com, help.capsuflow.com, and the current CapsuFlow app.

CapsuFlow is designed with a local-first product stance. Where reasonably possible, the product aims to preserve original source material first and avoid unnecessary cloud-first handling. Actual data handling may vary depending on the features you use, device behavior, sync configuration, support interactions, and service infrastructure.

By using the website or app, you acknowledge that information may be processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use CapsuFlow, we may collect or process the following categories of information:

  • Contact information, such as your email address, if you contact us, request support, or otherwise communicate with us.
  • Technical and device information, such as browser type, operating system, app version, device type, IP address, crash data, and similar diagnostics needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
  • Usage information, such as interactions with the website or app, feature usage, and standard analytics or log data.
  • User content and source material, including voice, image, text, metadata, and related material, only to the extent required for the features you choose to use.
CapsuFlow is designed to keep raw source material closer to the user whenever reasonably possible. However, some features, sync behavior, support activity, hosting, or infrastructure needs may require cloud processing or storage.

How we use information

We may use information we collect or process to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, and improve the website and app;
  • support product functionality, sync, reliability, and recovery;
  • respond to support inquiries and communicate with you;
  • monitor usage, diagnose issues, and protect against abuse, fraud, or misuse;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms, policies, and rights.

We do not describe future or unimplemented product behavior here as if it already exists. This page reflects the current policy posture of the current version.

Service providers and disclosures

We may use third-party service providers and infrastructure partners to help operate the website, hosting, analytics, support, storage, delivery, and other service functions. Those providers may process information on our behalf only as needed to provide those services.

We may also disclose information if we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request; to investigate or address fraud, abuse, or security issues; or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of CapsuFlow, users, or the public.

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary course of operating CapsuFlow.

Retention and deletion

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the service, maintain operational integrity, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, whether it relates to active product use, backup and recovery needs, support history, security and fraud prevention, and legal or operational obligations.

Where applicable, you may contact us to request deletion or ask about deletion options for information associated with your use of the service.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of certain personal information. You may also have the right to ask how your information is handled or to withdraw consent where consent is the basis of processing.

You may also choose not to provide certain information, although doing so may limit some features, support options, or service functionality.
